Questions

Are the titles real? Will it invent a movie?

No. The AI can only choose from the shelf above, which is a fixed list of real titles. The server rejects anything else, so a made-up title or year can never reach the page. The clerk writes the commentary; the facts come from the list.

Is this actually AI?

Yes, when it can be: a Claude model reads your mood and picks from the shelf. If the AI is down or over its limit, a built-in clerk matches your words to the shelf instead, and the result says which one picked.

Where can I watch or play it?

Each result has a "where to watch" (or "where to play") line. When the site's live feed is switched on, movies and series show what is streaming in your country right now (data from JustWatch, via TMDB). Otherwise, where the clerk is sure of a stable home, like a Netflix original or the platforms a game shipped on, she says so. Streaming libraries change by country and by month, so when she is not sure she will tell you, in her own spooky way, and link you to a live lookup (JustWatch for movies and series, Steam for games) so you are never sent to the wrong place.

Will it spoil the movie?

No spoilers. The clerk is told to stay at the premise level.

Can I just tell her how scary I want it?

Yes. Say "scare me" or "nothing too scary" and the clerk adjusts the scare level for you, unless you have already moved the slider yourself (then the slider wins). The result tells you when she nudged it.

How scary will it be?

The scare level is a target, not just a limit. The clerk aims for about that level (and the one just below it), so "Bring it on" gets you the genuinely scary tapes and "Gentle" gets you cosy-creepy ones like Over the Garden Wall, Oxenfree and Coraline. If you scare easily, slide it down.
